The Night Runner's Sequel: End of Days

To be frank I haven't read The Night Runner. I saw the book at The Strand when I went to New York ( New York, I miss you) but hadn't heard enough of it to actually give it a try.

Now though, I'm not so sure I made the right decision...

Behold the cover of End of Days!

(Coming out September 28, 2010)

If I were in an apartment I think the neighbors would be complaining of a loud noise. My jaw just dropped to the floor, the cover is just that good. Made me think twice bout not reading The Night Runner. Believe me, after seeing the serious chemistry not to mention the great Photoshop, I will be picking up The Night Runner, if not just to have this beautiful cover be a part of my collection. Love the models, specially the girl -see the eyes? creepy yet electrifying. Love the colors, and love the font. (Though I have to admit, reminds me a bit of Twilight...)

You mind more open to the idea of The Night Runner? Want to know what's about? Well glad you asked!

"For Zack Thomson, life in the Nicholls Ward wasn't so bad. After his parents died, he developed strange allergies, and the mental institution was the only place where he could be properly looked after. As strange as it was, it was home. But that all changes the night a stranger on a Harley crashes through the front doors and tells him to run. Along with his best friend Charlie and a girl he may or may not be falling in love with, Zack does just that: run. Under the cover of night, hiding amongst the shadows, he races for the truth."

Reminds me a bit of the James Patterson style with Maximum Ride. The running away maybe? Mental institutions equal doctors equal enemies? Don't know, I must be crazy. I just get this feeling sometimes... But never mind that.
