I had a life anyone would kill for.
Then someone did.

The worst part of being dead is that there’s nothing left to live for. No more kisses. No more secrets. No more gossip. It’s enough to kill a girl all over again. But I’m about to get something no one else does—an encore performance, thanks to Emma, the long-lost twin sister I never even got to meet.

Now Emma’s desperate to know what happened to me. And the only way to figure it out is to be me—to slip into my old life and piece it all together. But can she laugh at inside jokes with my best friends? Convince my boyfriend she’s the girl he fell in love with? Pretend to be a happy, carefree daughter when she hugs my parents good night? And can she keep up the charade, even after she realizes my murderer is watching her every move?

From Sara Shepard, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Pretty Little Liars books, comes a riveting new series about secrets, lies, and killer consequences.

Let the lying game begin.
Taschima's POV:

At first I started out this book expecting a child's book on murder and slight mystery. I didn't really expect much. But after reading it I found out I was so wrong, and its so much more interesting than I thought! It goes to show you that you can't really judge a book by its cover, which is what I did, which is what most of us do (you heard me).

The book is told from Emma's POV, the long lost twin of Sutton. Sutton also makes an appearance, but she stays in the margins, filling out gaps, and can never contact Emma. Which was really weird for me cause I thought they would actually get to talk... but oh well. It's good nonetheless.  Emma is a foster kid while Sutton already has the good family. When Emma sees her twin in a Youtube video she goes to Facebook and finds her, then sends her an email which "Sutton" replies to. They decide to meet and that gets the ball rolling. The Lying Game is introduced to us, making each of the players a suspect on Sutton's murder.

I had so much fun with this read. It was fast, and keeps you guessing. The killer could be any of Sutton's close friends, or even her sister. Basically everybody has a reason to kill the girl. It gives the story more edge. Sutton wasn't a good girl. Emma on the other hand is so special, and not at all bitchy. She is grateful for the few good things that she gets in life. Even though they are identical twins they have very different personalities.

Something that kept bothering me about the novel was the switch from Sutton to Emma. It may be confusing, cause sometimes you are in first person as Sutton and then suddenly you return to Emma's head. Also I'm not a fan of the cover, but oh well to each his/her own.

Conclusion: Worth your money. Worth a read or two, and definitely worth buying the next installment in the series Never Have I Ever.

PS; sort of drool worthy male guy, hope to read more of him in the next book.
